Purani Haveli is a royal residence situated in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. It was the official habitation of the Nizam. It was otherwise called Haveli Khadeem, which implies old manor, was built for Sikander Jah, Asaf Jah III (1803– 1829) by his dad Ali Khan Bahadur, Asaf Jah II.
History :
The second Nizam of Hyderabad, Mir Nizam Ali Khan had assumed control over this from Rukunudhaulah of the Momin tradition, in 1717. The fundamental building is an image of eighteenth century European design. His successor Sikander Jah lived here for quite a while and later moved to Chowmahalla Palace. Because of this, these structures are called Purani Haveli. In this building complex, Ayina Khaana and Chini Khaana were built.
The 6th and seventh Nizams were conceived at this royal residence, and both spent a piece of their life at this royal residence. Asaf Jah VI
Presently the South Zone Deputy Commissioner of Police (Hyderabad) and South Zone Task Force Police Addl DCP workplaces are being worked here.
The Palace :
The Haveli is "U" fit as a fiddle, with two elliptical wings running parallel to one another and the private royal residence found oppositely in the center. The primary building takes after eighteenth century European royal residences. An interesting component of this castle is the world's longest closet, worked in two dimensions with a hand-wrenched wooden lift set up. This involves the whole length of one wing of the castle.
The Museum :
The royal residence additionally houses the Nizam's exhibition hall, which is devoted to the last Nizam of Hyderabad state. As of now the royal residence is being utilized as a school and as an Industrial preparing foundation.
